Where Clover is genuinely strong.
Clover’s terminals are well-built, and its app ecosystem is broad — there’s an app for most things a counter needs. For counter-service retail, it works, and plenty of businesses run happily on it.
The difference is the reseller model. Because Clover is sold through banks and resellers, the price you pay depends on who sold it to you — and features arrive as monthly app subscriptions that stack on top. Mamal sells direct: one price, published on the website, everything in.
