Integrations FAQ

How does the QuickBooks integration actually work?

You map each revenue and tax source to an account in your chart of accounts once, validate the mapping, and approve a preview before anything is written. From then on Mamal posts the day’s figures automatically. The part worth knowing about is what happens after the write: every posting is read back out of QuickBooks and checked to the cent against what we sent. If it does not match, posting stops for that location rather than continuing and compounding. That is the step that keeps one bad night from becoming a bad quarter.

I use a delivery marketplace. What do I do today?

Keep using it, and keep their tablet, until our connectors land. We would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise and have you discover it in your second week. What you can do now is give guests a reason to order direct instead, which is what the branded storefront and zero commission are for. Most restaurants we talk to are not trying to leave the marketplaces entirely, they are trying to stop paying commission on the regulars who would have ordered from them anyway.

Will you charge me for API access?

No, and we have put that in writing here specifically so you can hold us to it. Charging a restaurant for programmatic access to its own sales data is one of the practices that made us want to build this, and there is no version of our pricing where it appears.

Need something that isn’t here yet?
That’s how the roadmap gets set.
