Mamal vs. Square
Square deserves real credit — it’s genuinely transparent about pricing and contract-free, and we respect that. The difference is depth: Square is an everything-store for all kinds of businesses. Mamal is built only for restaurants.

Credit where due
Where Square is genuinely strong.
Square made honest pricing normal for small business, and it deserves the credit for that. If you run a coffee cart or a retail counter, Square is excellent — simple to start, fairly priced, and contract-free.
The difference shows up as restaurants grow. Food cost, tip pools, coursing, kitchen routing — the things restaurants get specific about — are where generalist tools run out, and where Square’s add-ons start to stack up per location. Mamal starts where restaurants get specific, with everything in one published price.
The trade, plainly
Choose the trade that fits.
Square gives you an honest generalist platform that does a bit of everything, with restaurant depth sold as add-ons. Mamal gives you the same honest economics — published pricing, no contract, your own hardware — on a product built only for restaurants, with everything in the one plan. If the second trade sounds right, come build it with us.
